Lupus Foundation of Australasia (LFA) is the national peak body representing the lupus community in Australia and New Zealand.
We have a vision to live in a world where lupus has a cure, and everyone has access to it.

Mission 1
Encourage the search for lupus cure through research

Establish partnerships with universities, research institutes and health organisations, pharmaceuticals to advance lupus research and improve patient care.

Form consumer engagement groups to participate in research projects.

Fundraising through merchandise selling, virtual webinars, events.

Detect and manage lupus early and prevent further events

Empowering individuals with lupus through educational resources and support for effective self-management.

Develop equitable risk prediction and management methods – develop program and policies that embed targeted screening for lupus within the health system.

Ensure access to comprehensive and culturally responsive services and support for people living with lupus

Raise public and government awareness of lupus disorders, their prevalence and impact.
